Gainsborough LGBTQ+ Group meets every other week to socialise with each other and ensure the LGBTQ+ community and allies have a safe space to network and exchange ideas.
We’re also keen to support residents who belongs to other protected characteristics.
Aims
Our aim is to help and support anyone from the LGBTQ+ community in Gainsborough and West Lindsey.
We also aim to support anyone who belongs to the 9 protected characteristics and who are at risk of being discriminated against in Gainsborough and West Lindsey.
The 9 protected characteristics
It is against the law to discriminate against anyone because of:
- age
- gender reassignment
- being married or in a civil partnership
- being pregnant or on maternity leave
- disability
- race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin
- religion or belief
- sex
- sexual orientation
